Course Overview
Aviation Law for Regulators focuses on the role of International organisations such as ICAO and IATA and the obligations of states under international treaties such as the Chicago Convention. The course has been developed by highly experienced safety regulators and provides practical guidance to government officials in terms of how they should address legal issues when dealing with aviation industry personnel.

This is a must attend course for aviation regulators, government officials and other statutory agencies that have dealings with the aviation industry. Aviation Law for Regulators focuses on the role of International organisations such as ICAO and IATA and the obligations of states under international treaties such as the Chicago Convention. The course has been developed by highly experienced safety regulators and provides practical guidance to government officials in terms of how they should address legal issues when dealing with aviation industry personnel. This course will particularly benefit flying operations, airworthiness and airport inspectors along with aviation investigators and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs). This course would provide vital information to law firms with government sector aviation clients.

Ronald Bartsch BA (Syd), BSc (Syd), LLB (UNSW), LLM (UTS), Dip Ed (Syd) Ron Bartsch will be the facilitator for this course. Mr Bartsch was Head of Safety and Regulatory Compliance with Qantas Airways and a Senior CASA Manager. Currently the Managing Director of AvLaw Pty Ltd an International Aviation Consultancy firm. For the past 16 years he has been a Senior Visiting Fellow with the School of Aviation at the University of New South Wales and author and coordinator of several postgraduate programs in aviation safety and accident prevention, aviation law and business law and technology. Ron is a world recognised specialist in aviation law and author of International Aviation Law: A Practical Guide (2012).
Each of the courses participants will receive a comprehensive course Manual, a copy of International Aviation Law: A Practical Guide Bartsch R, Ashgate Publishing (UK) 2012 and pre-course reading guide.
